How does the Suspicious Link Detection feature work?
If any suspicious links shared via WhatsApp, it automatically detects it and adding a label termed “suspicious link” to notify the user. And if the user clicks on that link, then WhatsApp will show another warning message to inform the link has originated from a suspicious source.
The reports said that in India IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad asked WhatsApp to take measures to control the spread of fake news via its platform. Hence, WhatsApp is now testing a new ‘Suspicious Link Detection’ feature which will help users identify if a message they have received is fake or not.
