Search Places on Google Map in Malayalam Android: Google Map is a popular navigation app we all know that. Lots of navigation maps are available in the market but most of the people using Google Maps because of its user-friendly features. It provides real-time GPS navigation, traffic, public transport info, and explore more needed information like restaurants, hotels, tour places, etc. We can search on Google Maps with our native language. If you are tired of typing, you can search with voice commands. Google Maps will receive voice commands in your native language and shows the matching output for you. Let’s know how to search for travel destinations on Google Maps in Malayalam.


If you want to search for places on Google Maps in Malayalam by typing, install a Malayalam supporting keyboard application. Google providing Gboard – the Google Keyboard Android application. It may be already installed on your device, If you are using any other Keyboard application and it not supporting Malayalam language, then switch to the Gboard Keyboard application. It comes up with many useful features such as Handwriting, Voice typing, Emoji Search, Multilingual typing, Google Translate, Glide Typing, etc.

The Gboard app supports more than a hundred language varieties including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Arabic, etc. If you want to type Malayalam with the Gboard app, just download the Malayalam language pack and enable it. You can switch language to Malayalam or English or any other language.

After setting the Gboard app, you can type Malayalam on Google Maps search bar with the help of the Gboard application.

How to Search Places on Google Map in Malayalam

If you want to get Google Maps directions in Malayalam language, set Google Maps navigation language like Malayalam, then you can receive Google Maps driving directions in the Malayalam language. If you are new to Google Maps, here I will share with you how to set Google Maps voice navigation language as Malayalam.

  • Open the Google Maps app on your Android Smartphone.
  • Move to app settings ( Tap on Menu icon and choose settings).
  • In settings, tap on the Navigation settings option.
  • Here, you can see the option to select your preferred voice.
  • Tap on Voice selection, here you can see the list of available voice languages.
  • Voice language is English in default. So choose your preferred language and save it.
