- Privacy Settings
Once you’re logged into your YouTube account, click on your avatar at the top right of your screen and select ‘YouTube Settings’. From the next screen, tap on ‘Privacy’ at the top left. Under the ‘Likes and Subscriptions’ heading, you can check the box to ensure any videos you like and any channels you subscribe to, stay confidential. Under ‘Search and Contacts’ you can choose who can get in touch with you on YouTube.
- Disable Ad Personalization
Google uses the videos you watch to suggest advertisements to you. If you want to stop Google tracking your viewing history and suggesting personalized ads, you can turn it off. Go to ‘Settings’ and select ‘Privacy’ and then click the Google Ads Settings link in the ‘Ads based on my interest’ section of the page. - Delete Your Watch and Search History
You can remove individual videos from search and watch history section or all of them. Go to your YouTube homepage and click ‘History’. You’ll see a list of all of the YouTube videos you’ve watched. You can delete any videos you want from the list. To delete every single video, click ‘Clear All Watch History’. You can also click ‘Pause Watch History’ or ‘Pause Search History’ so that YouTube won’t save your watch history or search history.
