Youtube Android App – Google Testing Speed Control Feature

We all know that if Google makes any change in its products it may be something good for users. And we got the latest reports about Youtube Android app. It is that Google is testing video playback speed controls within the YouTube Android app. It is a good feature and people have been wanting for years. The feature is available on YouTube’s desktop site, and the users have been able to control the playback speed of videos.

The speed control feature allows you to play a video faster or slower than its originally uploaded speed, and before now, this feature is not available on the YouTube Android app. On this August 4, 9to5Google has first spotted this news on their blog post.

If you want to know this feature, just go to the settings icon and there available its option. For option, tapping on the three-dots menu on the top right corner of the app. Then you can see an option ‘Speed’ in between “Captions” and “View in Cardboard” with a speedometer as its icon but this option is currently not available for everyone. If you found this option within your app, Just click on speed icon and you can choose the speed (0.25x to 2x). The feature was discovered on a Pixel with YouTube v12.29.57.
