On Thursday, ( September 19, 2019) Google conducted an event in Newdelhi – Google For India 2019. In this event, Google surprises Indian users with lots of new announcements. Google launching some best services for the users in India. At this event, Google announced a new important feature of Google search for Indian users. That is, Google adds new 7 Indian local languages in Google Search. It enables users to search with their native language. In 2016, Google launched a Hindi search tab for mobile users. The company says, After that launch, the number of Hindi queries is increased in India. And Now Google providing search support for 7 local languages in India. Let’s know more details.
Google Supports 7 Indian Local Languages in Google Search
Today, Google supports a total of 9 languages in Google Search including Hindi and English. The newly added languages are Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Kannada. And Google also said that by the end of this year, Google will introduce the support for other three new Indian local languages such as Oriya, Urdu, and Punjabi for Google Search.
With this newly added feature, Google also changed its user interface to an elegant design for Google search in India. That will helps users to easily search for their queries in their local language. In Google search new design, users can visible an icon below the search tab. Users can look for content in local languages by tapping on that icon. Now users can see the search results in their preferred language. Sometimes you may not need everything in your native language. If you need some results in English, Google Search will automatically show you the relevant content in your respective languages. Google also said that they will improve the Indian language search results by time to time.
Beginning of this year, Google launched a new Google BOLO app for Indian users. Google BOLO app designed for primary grade children, Bolo helps to improve their reading skills, by encouraging them to read aloud and giving them instant feedback and it supports offline mode as well. Earlier, BOLO app only supports Hindi and English. But now, the app will support other languages such as Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
