Provident Fund (PF), we all know that what is Provident fund and how this beneficial for an employee. Provident Fund is a better saving scheme for an employee who works in an organization. Every month they will deduct a particular amount from your salary and your employer is also contributing the same amount of money for you and then it saved to your PF account. After depositing this amount to your pf account, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number. If you did not receive it, you can check your Pf account in different ways. Today here I’m sharing how to check PF account balance using SMS.

Check EPF Balance by SMS

Let’s know how to check PF by SMS service.

The easiest way to check the PF account balance is through SMS. To check this, you need to first ensure that your UAN is activated. You can enquire this to your HR section or you can simply be done it via EPFO portal.

Also, you should check your registered mobile number has SMS service activated. Incoming and Outgoing services also perfectly enabled.

Follow the below steps to check your PF account balance

  • First, open your messenger application in your device
  • Then type EPFOHO<space>UAN in the message box.
  • After that send this SMS to ‘7738299899’ this number.
  • That’s it.
  • You can also check PF balance through miss call – Just give a miss call on 01122901406
  • Another way is by using EPFO app on Umang platform

After some time, you will receive an SMS with all the details regarding your EPF account to your registered mobile number.

You can check PF account balance online through the EPFO portal. Just login with your UAN number and password. In its member home page, you can check all your profile details and you can edit birth date, PAN and email id. Under the view menu icon you can see a passbook option, just click here. It will navigate you to another page. You need to login here to view your Passbook information.
